1. Eligibility
To use this website and schedule notary services, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. You must have a valid government issued By using our services, you affirm that you meet these requirements.

To complete any notarization, you must present a valid, government-issued photo ID. This includes, but is not limited to, State-issued driver's license, U.S. passport, U.S. military ID, State-issued identification card, Permanent resident card, Foreign passport, U.S. Certificate of Naturalization, Certificate of Citizenship or Citizenship ID card, or other acceptable forms of identification. The ID must be in your possession at the time of the notarization and must be presented to the notary for verification.
We do not and cannot accept photos of ID's or non certified copies of ID's

If you do not have a valid ID or your identification is not acceptable, the notary will not be able to proceed with the notarization, and no refund will be issued for the appointment. It is your responsibility to ensure that your identification is current, valid, and meets the legal requirements for notarization.

2. Services
Notary OConnell offers travel notary services, including but not limited to notarization of documents such as affidavits, powers of attorney, real estate documents, and other legal paperwork. These services are provided at locations of your choosing, within our service area, and by appointment.

3. Witnesses and Other Signers
If your notarized document requires the presence of witnesses or additional signers, these individuals must also comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. By attending the appointment, witnesses and signers agree to:

Present valid, government-issued identification for verification

Be physically present at the time of the notarization process.

Understand and comply with the requirements and procedures set by Notary OConnell and the notary performing the service.

The notary will refuse to proceed with the notarization if any witness or signer is unable or unwilling to meet these requirements. Additionally, any issues with the identity or credibility of a witness or signer may result in the cancellation of the notarization and the appointment, with no refund issued.

It is the responsibility of the person requesting the notary service to ensure that all necessary witnesses and signers are informed of and agree to these Terms and Conditions before the appointment.

4. Right to Refuse or Cancel Notarization Services
Notary OConnell and our notaries reserve the right to refuse or cancel services at our discretion if we feel there are concerns regarding the legitimacy or validity of the documents presented, the authenticity or trustworthiness of the identification provided, or for any other reason that may compromise the notarization process.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Lack of sufficient evidence or documentation to support the affidavit or document being notarized.

Presentation of an untrustworthy, expired, or invalid government-issued ID.

Suspicion of fraud, coercion, or undue influence.

Any other situation where the notary is uncomfortable proceeding with the notarization in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards.

In such cases, no notarization will be performed, and no refund will be issued for the appointment. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of the notarization process and ensuring that all services are conducted in full compliance with the law.

5. Appointment Scheduling
To book an appointment, you must complete the required information on our website and submit a payment for the requested services. Appointments are subject to availability. Once an appointment is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation via email or phone.

6. Payment Terms
Payments for services are required in advance and can be made through the payment options provided on our website. Accepted payment methods include:

Credit or Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.)

Online Payment Services (e.g., Venmo, Cashapp, etc)
All payments are processed securely, and you agree to provide accurate payment details. If a payment is declined or there are issues with processing, your appointment may be delayed or canceled.

7. Changes to Services
Notary OConnell reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services or parts of the website at any time without prior notice. This may include adjusting service fees or changing the scope of available services. We will update these Terms and notify users of significant changes.

8. Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within this window will receive a full refund. Cancellations made after this period may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Refunds will be issued at our discretion and in accordance with applicable laws. If you have concerns about your service, please reach out to us, and we will work to resolve the issue.

9. User Obligations

Ensure that the documents you present for notarization are valid, complete, and legally acceptable.

Follow all instructions given by the notary during the appointment.
Failure to comply with these obligations may result in the cancellation of your appointment or refusal of service without refund.

10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Notary OConnell or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use any content from our website for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability
Notary OConnell provides notary services on an "as-is" basis and does not guarantee the results or outcomes of notarization. We are not responsible for the legality, validity, or effectiveness of any document after it has been notarized.
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific notary service in question.

The notaries at Notary OConnell are not licensed attorneys and are not authorized to provide legal advice or consultation. Our role is limited to the official act of notarizing documents in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
If you need legal advice or assistance with the content or validity of a document, you should consult with a licensed attorney. We are not responsible for any legal consequences resulting from the use or interpretation of notarized documents.
By using our services, you acknowledge that you are not receiving legal advice from our notaries, and it is your responsibility to seek proper legal counsel if needed.

13. Warranty Disclaimer
We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on this website. We expressly disclaim any implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

14. Suspension or Termination of Accounts
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful activities. If your account is terminated, you may be prohibited from accessing the website in the future.
