Refund Policy
Last Updated 1, of April 2025
At Notary OConnell, we are committed to providing high-quality notary services. If you are not satisfied with your experience, we strive to ensure a fair and reasonable resolution. Please review our refund policy below.
1. Cancellation by You

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours, before the scheduled time for a full refund. Cancellations or reschedules made after this window will not be refunded, and a cancellation fee may apply.
-
Full Refund: If you cancel your appointment with at least 48 hours prior, you will receive a full refund.
-
No Refund: Cancellations made after 48 hours prior to the appointment will not be refunded, and you may be subject to a cancellation fee.

2. Cancellation or Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse notary services if:
-
The documents presented are not valid or complete.
-
The identification provided is deemed untrustworthy, expired, or invalid.
-
The notary feels uncomfortable proceeding due to concerns about fraud, coercion, or any legal or ethical issues.
-
You or any witnesses/signers fail to meet the requirements of the notary process (such as valid identification or presence at the appointment).
-
Or any other reason outlined in our terms & conditions
If services are canceled due to any of the above reasons, you will not be eligible for a refund.

3. Refund for Unsuccessful Notarization

If the notarization cannot be completed due to errors on our part (e.g., technical issues, notary failure), a full refund will be provided. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

4. Disputes and Resolution

If you believe you are entitled to a refund for any other reason not covered by this policy, please contact us at notary.oconnell@gmail.com or (513) 550-2307. We will review your case and work toward a satisfactory resolution. Refunds will be issued at our discretion based on the circumstances.

5. Declined Documents

Once the notarization has been completed and the document has been signed and sealed by the notary, we are not liable for any subsequent rejection or refusal of the document. This includes situations where the document is declined by a third party (e.g., court, bank, government agency, etc.) for reasons unrelated to the notarization process itself.
In such cases, no refund or re-signing of the document will be provided. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the document is complete and acceptable to the receiving party before proceeding with notarization.

5. Non-Refundable Services

Certain services, such as payments made for appointments that have been canceled or rescheduled outside of the specified notice period or services performed without proper identification, are non-refundable.
